Consider your priorities - As a general rule children are fresher and more alert in the morning hours opposed to late afternoon. We have also experienced that children are at their best the first 20-30 minutes of the session, so it is important for you to consider your most important goals prior to the start of the session.

Outside or inside/Studio/Natural Lighting - If you are looking for a more casual look, we suggest the natural outside sessions. The indoor studio sessions using the "old masters" background gives a more formal appearance, while our natural window lighting creates a soft and timeless look.

Clothing - Your clothing choices are extremely important in the overall feel of the portraits we create for you. As a general rule, your clothing should be somewhat muted as not to distract from the image of the individuals in the portrait. At the time of scheduling the appointment, or sometime prior to the session, we will discuss the best clothing options for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
